Our story starts with a summer camp and a bottle of wine.
We first met thanks to Matt—Chris’s brother—who worked at the same Seattle summer camp as Livia. One evening in a Seattle hostel, fresh off a flight from New Zealand and jet-lagged beyond belief, Chris joined Livia and some friends for wine. Livia left the night thinking Chris didn’t like her at all (spoiler: he was just really tired).
Fast forward a little—a few thousand kilometers and, well, just a casual couple of years—and things finally started to fall into place. (What can we say? Sometimes the good stuff takes a little time!) Since then, we’ve shared nearly five wonderful years together filled with travel, skiing adventures, and quiet moments spent reading side by side. One of our favorite traditions is finding board game bars around the world and challenging each other to a fiercely competitive (but loving) game of Scrabble.
Chris proposed to Livia on a rainy morning in Auckland, New Zealand. He had planned a sunrise moment—but the sun had other ideas. Despite the grey skies, it was a beautiful, quiet moment just for the two of us.
We chose to celebrate our wedding in Reutlingen, a place close to our hearts. It’s where Livia grew up, and where her family still lives. We're so excited to welcome our family and friends from all around the world to this beautiful part of Germany.
More than anything, we’re just grateful—to have found each other, to be surrounded by so much love, and to get the chance to celebrate with all of you in one place.
